To my countless years as a budding luthier, it all began in my dad's workshop. Together we built fine, handcrafted violins, archtops, and other unique stringed instruments. We also refurbished antique radios, which allowed dad to listen in on Radio Free Europe, mainly shortwave Polish broadcast.
Instrument building and repair, originating as a father/son hobby, soon became a serious endeavor for me. It was through years of hard work and discipline that my skills developed in building, repairing, re-finishing, and completely restoring precious instruments and amplifiers.
After finishing a degree in electronics, I accepted a position consulting at NOSC (Naval Ocean Systems Center) at the PT. Loma, CA facility involving a Desert Storm research study where, ironically, tube technology was still in healthy practice, and the top engineers there were more than happy sharing their tubular experience. It was here, along with my study of digital electronics at universtiy, that filled in all the enigmatic analog/digital gaps, leading to the musical/electronic "bliss" I now thrive upon.
My exposure to American radio (Beatles, Zep, Purple, Sabbath), and the profound influence of Clapton, Beck, and Page, led my interest toward the guitar as the instrument of focus. Studying these masters' works and the sounds they created, the building and modding of guitars and amps had became a passion in the following years, I've serviced gear for countless numbers of working, touring, pro and hobbyist musicians.
My experience is available to anyone, just place a call or mail your questions/concerns. Happy to help.
