Luthier

To my many years as a budding luthier, it all started in my dad’s workshop. Together, we crafted exquisite, handcrafted violins, archtops, and other unique stringed instruments. We also restored antique radios, allowing my dad to listen to Radio Free Europe, primarily shortwave Polish broadcasts.

Instrument building and repair, which began as a father-son hobby, soon became a serious pursuit for me. Through years of hard work and dedication, my skills developed in building, repairing, refinishing, and completely restoring precious instruments and amplifiers.

After completing a degree in electronics, I accepted a position as a consultant at NOSC (Naval Ocean Systems Center) at the PT. Loma, CA facility. There, I participated in a Desert Storm research study where, ironically, tube technology was still thriving, and the top engineers were more than willing to share their expertise in tubular instruments. This experience, coupled with my studies in digital electronics at university, bridged the gap between analog and digital technologies, leading to the musical/electronic “bliss” I now thrive on.

My exposure to American radio (The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath), and the profound influence of Eric Clapton, Beck, and Jimmy Page, led me to focus on the guitar as my instrument of choice. Studying these masters’ works and the sounds they created, I developed a passion for building and modifying guitars and amplifiers in the following years. I’ve had the privilege of servicing gear for numerous working, touring, professional, and hobbyist musicians.

My experience is available to anyone who reaches out to me. Whether you have questions or concerns, I’m happy to help.American radio’s golden era and the influence of Clapton, Beck, and Page drew me to the guitar. Inspired by their work, I developed a passion for building and modifying guitars and amps. Over the years, I’ve serviced gear for countless musicians, from touring pros to dedicated hobbyists.
